Discovering a New Concert Model

DISCOVERING A NEW CONCERT MODEL: The St. Peters Singers of Leeds are exploring a new business model for their most recent concert.  First, instead of a church, they performed in the Victoria Quarter in Leeds, a shopping area.  Additionally, they used a crowdfunding plan to raise the money for the concert and recording fees for their CD of the concert, thus eliminating upfront costs and reducing risk.  I think it’s a great idea to find the new audience that is out there, and while crowdfunding is not always a panacea, it looks like it has worked out in this case.
